Roppestad naturist beach

… Our own naturist paradise, which we are happy to share with others

 

We have an agreement with Larvik municipality that VVNF is responsible for supervising the entire recreation area, both the textile and naturist beach/area.

The Vestviken Naturist association are allowed to use/may dispose of the northern part of Roppestad recreation area, as a clothing-optional/naturist beach. Here we have created a camp grounds, a petanque court, playgrounds, barbeque and seating area, and a small woodfired sauna, along our nice naturist beach.

Regarding camping in the area that the naturist association has to its disposal in Roppestad, we would like to specify:

Pursuant to the Outdoor Activities Act § 9, 3rd paragraph and “Rules of order for Larvik municipality’s property Roppestad”, you can have 1 caravan / motorhome or tent in the area for up to 2 days at a time.
We have a permit for 18 housing units at the same time, provided that a safety distance of 4 meters between each housing unit is observed.
Following a new agreement in the spring of 2017 with Larvik municipality as landowner, it has now been decided that accommodation with tents, motorhomes and caravans in the northern part of Roppestad (Fristrand area) is reserved for naturists. Others have the right to free movement, but not stay on the clothing-optional/naturist beach area.

Recreation and Sports additional information

We have big lawns suitable for football games, other games, badminton. In close proximity there is very nice roads for biking and hiking opportunities, As the naturist beach and camp grounds is situated at the big lake Farrisvannet, you can do a big range of water sport activities, like kayaking, sup-board and more.

Ground/Plot Information

On the recreation area there is toilets and water taps available. In addition there is a facility for disposal of motorhomes/campingwagon toilets. There is no showers and laundry/washing machines on the recreation area/camp grounds.

From Larvik/Bommestad (E18 Highway), drive 12 kms on Lågendalsveien northwards toward Kongsberg. At a small place called Gjone, follow sign toward "Lysebo". After about 4 km, follow road slightly to the right toward "Siljan". After another 4,5 km you reach a small sign directing toward "Roppestad" on the left, down to the camp grounds and beach. The clothin-optional/naturist beach is situated on the northern part of the recreation area "Roppestad"
